"Alec safe." This was the two words cablegrant received in Bristol by the family of Flying Officer A. A Lewis, who was rescued, with Flight Sergeant N. CTerry, after being adrift for eight days on ice- foes off the Labrador coast.

Flying Officer Lewis is the son of Mr. and Mrs. P. B. Lewis, of Forest-road, Fishponds, Bristol, and the family were overjoyed at the news of his safety, for he had been given up as lost.
