There is still much activity at Nanking with regard to the settlement of the Nanking Incident, and the Nationalist Govern ment are evidently anxious to effect a speedy settlement. Sir Miles Lampson is about to visit Nanking in connection with the matter, and it is reported that a conference will shortly be held in Peking at which it is hoped the incident will be finally settled. It is also stated that Mr. MadMurray, the American Minister, has also been taking part in the negotiations.
