SEVENTEEN ARRIVALS.

There were seventeen arrivala and 10 departures during the 24 hours ended at 9 am yesterday and the freights discharged for this port were good; British vessels con- tributing more than half of the totalThrough freights, however, were lower than the previous day.

There were 10,635 tons of general merchandise for this port of which eight British vessels contributed 12,971 tons. The two best returns were from the s. Phorus (British) with 0.501 tons of oil fuel, from Turskan, and the ss. Kiungehow

2,200 tons general cargo from Bangkok nod Kohsichang

Through freights were lower than the previous day. The total amoun of cargo for ports beyond was 9,103. Of this total $.950 tons were carried by six British vessels, The two best returns were shown by the 1.5. Bessa (Norwegian) with tops from Vladivostock and Dairen. and the & Kalyan with 2,000 tons from Bombay and Singapore.

At the Marine Court yesterday morning a Chinese mistress of a passenger boat was charged before Commander G. F. Hole with com- mittting a breach of the conditions of her passenger bout licence by carrying other than passenger TALAMBA luggage, namely, 10 baskets' of rice," "TILAWA' 2 baskets of 6th and 2 baskets of "TALMA" vegetable. The defendant pleaded "TAKLIWA" guilty and a fine of 83 or 3 days" imprisonment was imposed.

Deaths At Boa.-
