The de fendant pleaded guilty and was fined $100 with an alternative of 2 months' hard labour,

A Chinese mistress of a passenger boat was charged before Comdr. G. F. Hole at the Marine Court yester- day morning with a breach of cons ditions of her licence, to wit, carry- ing a cargo of 14 smalt pigs while her licence allowed only a cargo of personal luggage. The woman plended guilty and a fine of $10 was imposed.
