BRITISH VESSELS MAKE

POOR SHOWING.

Although seven British vesavis were included in the nineteen ships arriving, during the twenty-four hours ended at 6 am. yesterday, and six of these ships entered cargo for Hong Kong, their contribution of freight was very poor. Freights on the whole, Swever, were good and there was more cargo for the Calony than for other, ports.

The total freight for Hong Kong was "24,473 tous of which six British ships contributed. 4,974 tuna, the best entry 2.130 tons in the 5.3 Borned from Haiphong and Hoihow, Nine vessels flying other Hags brought the remaining 20.200

Jackin (American) and the West Caretta (American) contributed 3.400 tons and 2,445 tons, respectively; and two Japanese steamers brought 1,000 tons and 3,700 tons, respectively.

Asiatic Deck Passengers.' The tutal number of Asiatic deck passengers entered for the 24 hours ended at 0am. yesterday was 1,807. Of this number, 383 wäre brought on the Funk Sang; 1822 on the Hai. wing. from Foochow and Swatow; and 200 on the Barnes, from Hai- phong and Hehow. Reward For Recovery Of Missing Torpedo.

A reward of $30. (dollars fifty) is offered by the Naval Authorities for the recovery of a 21" torpedo which was lost from one of H-AL. Ships ou February 5th, 1928, in West Lamma Channel in a position ap proximately 207 degrees, 7.8" miles from Green Island Light.
