Five cases were hoard at the Marine Court yesterday morning before Commander G. F. Hole. Three Chinese were sentenced to one month's hard labour each and the others were fined from 810 to 815.
Tho sentences of imprisonment were imposed on three, men anid to be unemployed, who had boarded the President Filson without permission from the ship's officers. Inspector Brown of the Water Police pressed for imprisonment on the ground that such offence was getting too numerous His Wor ship imposed sentence as "stated above.

As the result of some matting catching fire on board her craft,
a sampan woman named Ko Mua| was removed to the Government Civil Hospital from Shaukiwan auffering from injuries to her fae". The fire was extinguished, and the sampan was only slightly damaged.
