A friendly match played yesterilay on the Chinese Recreation Club ground between the Navy II and the Hong Kong Electric Recreation Club resulted in an easy win for the Navy.

The H.K.E.R.C. batted first" and

were all dismissed for 7 runs. The Navy tied this score at the fall of the second wicket and went on to make 186 for six when stumps were drawn. A feature of the match was the brilliant tubting of L. A. C. Tansley who hit all round the wicket until he was beaten by Muskett when he had scored 83, which in- cluded 13 fours and two sixes:
