The freight returns for the A hours ended at 9 a.m. yesterday showed a normal entry of cargo for the Colony and also for other ports." Brildish Wessels were the best con- tributors toward local imports.
There were 14,317 tons of general merchandise enteral for
Hang Kòng, of which, 8019 tons were carried in British bottoms. The two st returns were 4.070 103s by
the 8 Hin Sing, from Sandakan Norwegian and 2500 tons by a hunt.
Through frnights amounted to 16.157 tons. Two British ships con bributed 1,476 tons The two best returns were 6,950 tons and 8,216 tons. The former were carried by the German strane Anholt, from Bremen and Singapore and the latter by the ss. Bro from Yoko hama and Shanghai.

The Lungshan arriving on Tues- day night brought down over 100 bales of silk from Canton, 1,600 tons of general cargo and about.
The passengers.
Tajchiru arriving yesterday afternoon also had some good cargo and a large number of passengers. The night boat, Kinshan, arriving in the evening was well londed and had a fair complement of passengers. There appear, however, to be mory passengers making the upward trip now than coming down, but cargoes from: Cantea, especially in the, silk line are proving very good indeed.
