Ships Dock Yesterday. Two ships were docked yesterday for their half-yearly overhaul. The Derawangle went into Kowloon Dock in the morning and the Kong Ning went into Shamshuipo.

Through freights arranted to 17,468 tons, three British steamers accounting for 4,420 tona, The two best returns were shown by the sa Seattle Maru and the Borneo Haru.. The former arriving from Calcutta and Singapore carried 4,000 tons and the latter from Yokohama and Moji had 3.775 bom.

The additional Sessions Judge at Alipore, with a special jury, con- cluded the hearing of a case in which Mr. E. G. Bacon, pilot in charge of the Rabenfels, was prose cuted for alleged negligence and breach of duty, resulting in a collision with the Calcutta, which was sunk in the Fults Bight, on August 29th.
