THE HONG KONG DAILY PRESS MONDAY, DECEMBER 12th, 1927.

With the playing of the Second Round Proper of the Football' Association Cup at Home on Saturday, there was a considerably There were full Axtures diminished English League, programme. in Divisions I and II., but in Division IIL (Southern) there were only four matches, while in Division III. (Northern) there wero the same number played. Next week and for the following low Weeks there will be complete programmes in all Divisions.

The Second Round of the Cup was notable for only two drawn matches. There was not very high scoring, but New Brighton netted 7 goals against Rhyl's 2, while Bournemouth and Luton Town each obtained 0 against Bristol Rover and Norwich City, respec- tively. An amateur team to enter the third round is the London Caledonians, who beat Bath City by the only goal scored in the match. Charlton Athletic drew with Kettering, and Swindon Town forced a goalless draw with Crystal Palace. The third round will be played on January 14th, when the competition begins to be sore interesting in view of the fact that the Clubs in the premier divisions enter the field..

With regard to the League there are only minor changes to record, and there have not been many important changes in position.
