PRINCE OF WALES AT CINEMA.

A FINE BRITISH FILM.

CHEERED BY CROWD OF 5,000.

LONDON, Nov. 5th. A crowd of 5,000 people, mostly women and girls, greated the Prince of Wales when he visited the Marble Arch Pavilion to sen the new British film "One of the Best,"

The Prince and his party were expected to arrive from the direc tion of Hyde Park, and it was on this side of the theatre that the Shortly biggest crowd collected. before nine o'clock, however, it was

known that he was driving down Oxford-street from Oxford-circus. The people who had expected to see him drive up from the other direction rushed towards the en- trance of the cinema, while the packed ranks of people on the pavement also broke away and dashed across the road.

In a few seconds the royal car was surrounded by hundreds of

cheering women and girls, and it was with some difficulty that the police forced their way through and cleared a space for the Prince and his friends to enter the cinema. A number of women fainted, and were attended by St. John Am bulance men

Among those accompanying the Prince were Lord and Lady Isling- ton and Lord Charles Cavendish.

The hero is unjustly accused of stealing valuable secret documenta, and is being drummed out of the regiment, when the heroine arrives on horseback with proof of his in-

nocence,

The military scenea, for the tak ing of which the Army Council afforded assistance, have been fine. ly arranged, and the drumming real sequence provides a out thrill The best performance comes from Mr. Janes. Lindsay as
