The batting of the Rest was rather curatian ia its ovicity. C.S.C.C.'S DECISIVE WIN,

Fine weather favoured cricketers on Saturday and manny matches Hankey which got up quickly. Hunt were played, three of which were settled in very well and Hag-in the League. Good batting and ward in view of the badness of the bowling performances have again to pitch tried to force the pace. He he recorded both in the League and was a bit lucky as two or three patches were put down, but he prob "ably played the right game and had collected 42 when yorked by Parker. After this Hunt got a bit dis- couraged by the way in which the ball was kicking up off the wicket and hit all across one from Thorp, Just previously Ramsey had flicked at a rising ball on the off from Parker and was nicely taken at first slip by Thorp. Pearce came in about 5.25 pm, in n bad, light on a kicking wicket and in my opinion his fifteen not out will rank higher

Hamilton took 4 wickets for 9 than many of his bigger scores. La rass, an excellent achievement in spite of the way the bull got up the first division. Good averages he always seemed master of the were also - recorded in the second situation and managed to connect division. Pte, Lake (R.A.O.C.) took in the middle of the bat..
