It is reported that the Fengtienese are gradually surrounding the Shansi troops at Chuchow, and that the fall of that city is impending.
There seems to have been a severe struggle for Paotingfu, the ancient capital of Chibli province, but so far the attacks of the Fengtienese have not been successful.
The Nationalist troops in Foochow and its vicinity are reported to be still busily engaged clearing out the "remaints" of General
Tang.
The Southern Army which is to be employed in the Northern Expedition in concentrating in the Tientsin-Pukow Railway, and
is at present being inspeeted by General Ho Ying Chien.
