This approval was voted although the Mexican Government was not represented at the 1923 Conference,

Mexico CITY, October 1st Twenty-nine Roman Catholics (mon and womnes) suspected of re- volutionary activities have been anrested here. The Police searched the homes of other suspects as they believed an alleged Catholic rebel lien against the irreligious laws, which it was previously, asserted had been crushed, he again broken out.

LONDON, Sept. 30th. The scheme which has been agreed upon by the Federation of Master Cotton Spinners' Associa tion and the Cotton Yarn Associa tien, which was mentioned in a tele- gram on September coth, has been ratified by American section of the Federation.
The general committee of the Federation has issued a scheme of minimum selling prices for yarns, and this will come into eperation on October 3rd.
A ballot will be taken immediately on the proposal to sectionalise, the American branch of the trade for short time purposes.
