JUNK PIRATED.

.10

A junk which left Sanmel on September 23rd for Hong Kong with a cargo of eggs and some bales of-cloth, the value of which was unknown, was chased by a pirate hoat and eventually overtaken. Ten men, four armed with rifles and the others with revolvers and daggers boarded the junk.

The junk's crew were driven into the hold, and the pirates sailed the cessal to Toutau where they went ashore taking with them 20 baskets of eggs and a quantity of cloth. The pirates spent one day and two nights on the junk and eventually abandoned her at 3 am, on Sept ember 26th, when the junk master immediately set sail for lions Kong.
