The week-end shipping returns showed fair and average cargoes better with. Saturday proving a day for local imports than yester

YESTERDAY'S «RETURN.

Although there were four more arrivals for the twenty-four hours ended at 9. a.m. yesterday than there were on Saturday, freight for Hong Kong was lower, although through freight showed an increase. The total Freight entered for this with five port was 13,757 tons, British vessels bringing 7,309 tons. and the remaining 6,395 tons was in five ships sailing under other fings.

The best return by a British ves set was 5,700 tons, and another four figure entry was 1,443 tons. Among Vessels of other nationalities, one ship brought 2,700 tons, and an

other 1,800 tons.

Through freights totalled 17,050 is British ships, the best cutries being 4,000 tons, with 8,405 tons tens and 3,755 tons. Other vessels had 9.250 tons on board, with 3,95% tons in one, and 3,668 tons in another.
