A SINGER "JUNIOR" IN SPAIN.
Reports have recently come to hand of a remarkable performance by Singer Junior" in a hill elimb near Barcelona. This little car comes into the 1,100 .c. class, in which it gained first prize, actually putting up a better per- formance than many of the cars entered in a larger classes. By so doing it made a very auspicious first appearance in competition work in Spain, despite the fact that at the time when the climb was made the functioning of one cylinder was affected by reason of a loose valve tappet.
One of the finest methods which the motorist has for improving the standard, of his driving is the men: sal analysis of insidents which take place during a drive.
Take, for instance, a drive, from London to Scotland. At the end of the day's journey, having watch ed the car washed, polished, re- plenished with water, oil, petrol, and having attended to any little adjustments that may be necessary in preparation for the next day, the motorist will doubtless seck & hearty dinner, followed by a fasl smoke and a drink before turning

If every driver, keen to improve his driving, would think over sometimes the experiences which he has had, and the various object lessons he has been afforded during a drive, it would be found an in- estimable benefit.
It is by this sort of retrospective. examination that one is able to de cide whether one is driving as well as one usually does, or whether one has dropped a little below one's uical form.
