The Chinose Recreation Club decisively settled the issue with the Club de Recreio in the "B" Division and won with Aying colours. Although the result was expected, the match was one of the must important in the competition. The Portuguese awaited the match with eagerness and had hoped to succeed where others have failed, Clab courts, the South Chinn Ath Played on the Kowloon Cricket but the Chinese were equally conletic Association winning by 11 fident, feeling that their balanced combination and experience, would games only. carry them to victory. The margin of 23 games is suggestive of the strength of the Chinese team. Only one pair of the Recreio secured the average, while the other two went. down badly.
With the Recreio now defeated, only the Chinese Reercation Club reinaina unbeaten in the three divi- sions, and it is not likely that they will suffer a reserve in any of the few matches, still to be played. It is & grand achievement, made all the notable because it is a repetition of a similar succes last year,
The Indian Recreation Club ac counted for the South China by the big margin of 1 games and are in the same position with the Club de Recreio for the runners-up position, Both teams are equal in points and have yet to meat each other.
On account of the rain, the League Programme was somewhat curtailed and only two matches were played | in the "C" Division.
