Through cargos, on the other hand, were normal although they were car ried by only seven vessels.

Coal shipments were benvy; there being 6,881 tons discharged here, and 5,500 tons earried for other ports. Of these two lots, there were 2,000 tons of Welsh coal brought by he ss. Benrumnoch from Cardiff. The same vessel ananifested 4,800 tons for ports beyond Hong.

General Merchandise unloaded for the Coluny amounted to 5,410 tons. Of these, 2.304 tous were con- tributed by four British steamers, The best return was 1,49 tong shown by the ss. Tukushim Maru, from Yokohama and Moji.
