The rebuilding of the 8.8. Tjile- bort which was cut into two parta following her grounding at Ling HONG KONG METEOROLOGICAL Tin Island, will be undertaken at the Taikoo Dock where the stern half at present lics.
This statement was made by the local offices of the Java-China Japan Lijn as a result of a cable received from Batavia to the effect that the tender of the Taikoo Dock had been accepted.
Work has already been com- menood and it was stated that it would take six months to complete the rebuilding.
