"No Concern In Holding Concessions."
This talk about the Red was all non-sense. Sir W. Jayson Hicks and Mr. Churchill were doing all the harm in the world by trying to identify the movement in China with Bolshevism. Our business was trade in China. We had no concern in holding concessions or territory Our business was to see that we were not beaten out of the great markets of China by rivals who, very sunningly and very craftily, were managing to instil into the Chinese raind the idea that they were in favour of giving justice to them, whereas we were sending troops there. He supported the pacific policy of the Foreign Secretary, and be earnestly trusted that the right hon. gentleman would not allow his colleagues to interfere with the triumph of that policy. (Cheers.)

"CONFIDENCE IN BRITISH
LABOUR PARTY !*
ני
Perhaps the most fatuous member of the British Labour Party is Mr. Lansbury, M.P. He is one of those who supported a policy of leaving British women and children to the "bell" that ruled in Shanghai and Nanking.
Typical of his mentality is the following account of his recent visit to Brussci:
Before speaking at the Anti- Colonial Congress one evening, Mr Geargo Lansbury was photographed holding the hand of Mr. Liau, the Cantonese delegate, and when he had finished his oration, he embraced General Lin Taun Ling, of the Cantonese army-
He said he was gratified that the oppressed nations were rising and uniting against imperialism, and asked the gathering to have con fidence in the British Labour Party, which had demanded the withdrawal of British troops from China.
