THE ROAD WESTWARD.
There are few mater drives...in the world to compare with that stretch of road that lies between Pokfulam and Shek O.Although it is much less mileage if you go out through Shaukiwa it is well worth the extra expense to take the long way round-
No doubt the road eastward through Wanchai will be much bet- ter when the Prays East reclama tion scheme is finished. At present there is not much pleasure in driv ing & car through that crowded dis trict in which pedestrians wandar all over the road.
In any case there will always be
much more traffic between Central and Shaukiwan Hill than on the read that runs Westward from Ces tral. We always take the latter road for the evening joy ride that we like so much.
It is not much fun driving through Caisa Road, but that is only a small part of the journey. When we go along Caine Road we always make piotis resolutions that we will write in to the Secretary of the local Automobile Association the subject of road improvements.
FOR BETTER TIMES. Of course we know that any aum- ber of suggested road improvements would have been carried out last year if the times had been normal."
