The annual report of the Ameri- can Association for the Advance ment of Atheism, recently issued,
A story received by the Associ ated Press by mail from New York where the association has headquar ters, give a brief summary of the report of the organization.
The statement is the first annual report and announces that the atheistical society "is an establish ed institution known throughout the country and feared, with cause, by the religious forces."
The association engaged in the following activities last year;
"Damned. Souls" Sociatias. Instituted a suit to stop the pay of army, navy and congressional chaplins, which was lost; organized "Damned Souls" societies in col legca; formed a Junior Atheistic League for children; protested against recognition of the church by the state and held several debates with religious leaderp.
The association, its report says, has members in Canada, Alaska, the Philippine Islands, Canal Zone,
