Sunday's Statements. General cargo for the Colony was discharged from eleven steamers and mounted to 1,360 tons, of which only 3,505 tons was from frə¦. ~ sad. ⠀ British vessels. The only four figure return was registered by the La Haikong which brought 1,100 tons from Foochow and Swatow..
Through cargoes in this instance also showed heavy decrease, there being only 9,418 tons mani. ferted on eight vessels, with 1,400 tona on two British steamers T heaviest amount carried in one ship was 2,000 tons by the 1a. Kalaya (Danish) which came into port from Shanghai.
Yesterday's Reports. The Colony's imports still re- mained down but through cargoes. picked up considerably.
During the 24 hours ended at 9 a. "yesterday, there were only 7,866 tons of general merchandise. These were discharged from twelve steamers, with only 2,788 tons from four British vessels
Nina vessels carried through Freights, and the manifesto showed a total of 9,088 tons of general cargo destined for ports beyond Hong Kong.
Two British vesesls contributed 8,578 tons, and the two' best re- turns were registered by the sa Glenogle (British) which arrived here from London and Singapore, and the German steamer Munster land, arriving from Hamburg and Singapore carried 6,240 tons,
The arrivals and departures dur- ing the 48 hours ended at 9 am yesterday were:--British, 11 arg rivals and 11 departures; Japanese, 7 arrivals and departures; Nor wegian, 1 arrival and 4 departures; Chinese, 3 arrivals and depar tures, Danish, 1 arrival and departure; Dutch, 2 arrivals;
