CRICKET.

SATURDAY'S RESULTS.

KOWLOON BEAT ROYAL NAVY.

CENTURY PARTNERSHIP,

Kowloon won their League fixture with the Royal Navy. on Saturday by a comfortable margin. They are now in the most favourable position for winning the Shield, but this result is not by any means certain. Among other teams they have to meet are the Civil Servico, the Indians and the Scottish Borderera who are not easy to beat.

The Hong Kong Cricket Club did not beat the Craigongower ar easily as the, mores indicate. The latter team had stiil four wickets in hand ten minutes before time for draw. ing stumps, but such is the uncer tainty of cricket, backed this time by some uncommonly good bowling. by Vallack and Major Lightfoot, that, what looked like an ineviti able draw was converted into a quick and unexpected win for the ¦ Hong Kong Cricket Club,

In the same match the first wicket partnership between Hay- ward and Capt. Evers (H.K.C.C.) produced over a hundred runs. This is the only performance of its kind so far in league matches this year.
