I have seen Evis at each of the lights he has fought in Hong Kong. He is quite a good boxer, but as yet he has not been pitted against such a dour fighter as Howard. Only the other day Ewin was fighting in the welters. Now be has gone to the middles. For to-night's fight. Howard will be lighter than he was when The tought Francis. I cannot see what chance Ewin has in this fight. It Howard can beat Francis and this he did easily, he should have an easier task in fighting Ewin.
.
No doubt a large number of spectators will be present merely to see Eddie Eagan, "the Amateur Heavyweight Champion of the World, who is meeting Stoker Addison, of H.M.S. Hermes. Eagan should win comfortably..
Marine Hills and Op. MeManus meet once again in a six-round featherweight Hills won the last fight. McManus bout. will no doubt fight differently, but I think Hills will win again.
A good fight should result between Stoker Reynolds and Stoker Evans in the welters. Evans put up a great fight Against Stoker Morrell at the last tourna ment. Good as Evans is, I believe Rey- nolds is better, and should win.
Stoker Morrell is likely to defeat L/8.",
Threadingham should defeat Foxley in the bantamweights.

It is possible, however, that arrange- ments will be made for a Rugby interport between Hong Kong and Shanghai at Hong Kong in China New Year, and Shanghai bave been notified to this effect.
It is believed in British brewery trade circles that a big amalgamation of brewery companies, including perhaps also one or more provincial companita, may be arranged.
Among the companies suggested by rumour as possible participants in such an amalgamation are:
Watney, Combe, Reid & Co., of Pimlico,
Mortlake, and Isleworth; Hoare & Co. of Stepney, and Marston, Thompson, & Evershed, of
Burton and elsewhere.
No confirmation of any defnite steps towards such a fusion ia às yet to hand.
