Warters scored 118 runs for Cambridge, whose total was 192, Oxford, batting last, was sensationally dismissed for 33 runs. Lt. Haisey and Bev. Egan, the British amateur heavyweight boxer, arrived in Hong Kong yesterday by the as. Amazone.
Mr. J. Brook and other officials of the Hong Kong Boxing Association met him. Egan has of late boen travelling with the Marquis Dongles and Clydesdale, who is well known as a lightweight amateur bozer. But, as stated in the Daily Press months ago they parted com- pany at Singapore, when the Marquis
went home.
Playing at home in a Cap_re-play, Barrow, were defeated by Wigan Borough, the visitors getting the only goal of the game.
In the third meeting between New Brighton and Wrexham, at Liverpool, Wrexham Won by 3 goals to 1.
SAMPAN WOMAN'S PLUCKY FIGHT.
The struggle put up by a sampar woman, when an attempt was made to rob her, resulted on Monday night in the arrest of two robbers.
The two men, with another, who was not discovered hired the woman's boat, and arriving in the middle of the har bour, an attempt was made to rob the with the result that she and two of her woman of her jewellery. She resisted assailants fell into the sea. She swam back to her sampan, and a passing junk rescued her and detained a robber who was still in the boat.. A Police Launch picked up another robber. The third was not found, and was either drowned or got safely ashore,

A NEW DANCE. RENDEZVOUS.
