A.B. EWIN RELINQUISHES WELTER. WEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP..
TO FIGHT AS A WELTERWEIGHT. [BY CADONYDD.]
The following games in the Hong Kong Football League are down for decision-The contest arranged between A.B. Ewin, the Welterweight Champion of the to day -
Colony and Stoker Morris, his challenger is not coming off. Ewin has declared that ho is not going to light in the welter- weight class, and, therefore, gives up the title of Welterweight Champion of the Colony and the G. M.. Young belt. And so it has turned out as I anticipat ed.

Ewin agreed to fight Morris, but with- H.M.S. Tamar v. Kowloon, Kowloon drew, pleading that he could not make F.C. ground. Raforso: Mr. Bald- the welterweight limit. The Hongkong Boxing Association resolved to get the men together and had arranged for them to meet on the 21st of this month, that is if Ewin was willing. But alas, Ewin is not willing, and so the matter is ended.
I look upon his decision as a surpris ing one. Never before has there been Kowloon Res. e. K.O.S.B.'s Res., Kowany talk of his having difficulty in fight

then challenged by Jim Cartlidge and won. Once again he met and defeated Cartlidge, and so won the G. M. Young Belt-only a few weeks ago. He is now giving it up, without a blow.
As yet be has not clashed here either with a man of his own age, or with one who has the same advantages as he has. In his contests with Belts and Cartlidge Re-everything was in his favour.

ARTILLERY DEFEAT CLUB “' A.”
the Athletic followers to see their team Coloby, is now open. Morris should win play the present league leaders. Should it if an opponent can be found for him. the Club de Recreio win today, their position at the head of the League will be very strong. China Athletic will be at full strength and may be the first to lower the colours of the Recreio this season. A very fast game is expected with the Athletic left wing to the fore The Club de Recreio attack will be well looked alter by Wong Shui Wa and Lan Yuk Ying.
South China are the visitors to the Club ground to-day and a fast game is expected. The South China attack lacks combination; individually the forwards are good but they will find Stewart, Watson and McBride hard to beat. The Club are expected to win.
Tho Tamar visit the Railway ground at Kowloon where another good game is } expected. There is little to choose be- tween these sides but Kowloon will have the advantage of playing at home and should just win. The sailors will make several changes in the team that went down to the K.0.8.B.'s last week.
On the Garrison ground, the K.O.S.B.'s meet the Police. After their success last week against China, the Police will take the field confident of giving the military team a good run. The Sookun poo ground suits the open game of the Police for they swing the ball about and want plenty of room. They have a good defence in Clarke, Wynne and Sherry. The K.O.S.B's are settling down and their win over the Tamar last week was well deserved.
In the "A" division, Kowloon receive the K.O.S.B.' and the visitors should return with the points.
The Club Reserves are fielding a strong side against St. Joseph's on the Club ground and a very even tussle is expert- ed. At full strength the College team should win.
China"A" is expected to win against the B.A on the College. ground but the China B can hardly expect to bring away a point from King's Park.
In the "B" division, the China Athletic teams are expected to win against the Bank and Moslem Club although the latter will put up a good fight against the "B" team.
St. Joseph's Res should win against South, China, while the game between Kowloon "B" and the Boy Scouts should be drawn.
INTERPORT FOOTBALL TRIALS.
