In a happy little speech after the dia tribution, Major-General Luard express ed great preasure at being present to distribute the prizes. He said he was there on the same occasion last year and was struck by the high standard of tennis then. He thought that there was a marked improvement this year, and congratulated the Royal Engineers for winning the Lengue and Chompionship again,, and the R.A.Q.C. for putting up such a good showing. He also congratu- iated the various dicials and the Hon. Secretary 8.Q.M.5. Steele, for the good work they had done. (Applause.)

A departure from the regular routine of sports at the Hongkong University has been made by the substitution of the NAVY LEAGUE'S GRAND CONCERT LOCAL RESIDENTS RETURN. Inter-Faculty Lawn Tennis Annual, in place of the Inter Hostel Annual meet- ing, it being thought that Lugard Hall, who have been champions for many years past would again win without difficulty.
There are three Faculties, viz., Medical, Arts and Engineering, and judging by the results of the two matches already play ed, the Medical Faculty appear likely winners. They defeated the Arts Faculty who, in turn, have defeated the Engineer. ing Faculty.

Nelson day falls to-morrow and in commemoration, the local branch of the Navy League is holding a grand concert in the evening at the Queen's Theatre.
Most of the finest artistes in the Colony, will take part, and the pro- gramme will be entirely composed of patriotic songs.
Added to the attraction will be the screening of the famous Sim, Zee brugge, one of the most notable episode of naval warfare during the
Great War, the mast strategic triumph
which the British Navy has ever accom- plished. It is a great film, wonderfully developed, and the scenes of courage displayed, and the accomplishment of the British Navy, will certainly thrill all
the spectators.

At 15 thie afternoon, the first Army Harbour Race, which will henceforth be one of the annual features in aquatics in the Colony, will take place. The competitors will jump off " from the Police Pier, Kowloon (to the right of the Star Ferry Wharf) cross the harbour and finish at the R.A.8.C. camber. The course is slightly longer than that of the regular Harbour Races held by the Vic. toria Recreation Club.
At the conclusion of the Race, HE Major-General C. C. Luard, the Officer Commanding, will distribute the prizes.
