The Police . K.8.0.C. match was to have been played on Saturday, but was postponed to Friday on account of the wot weather then, prevailing.

The C.S.CC. now play the E.C.C. and the C.C.C. meet the winners of the Police *. E.B.G. C. match.

SEMI-FINAL ROUND, DECIDED.

Playing in one of the semi-finals of the Lawn Bowls (Singles) Championship of the Colony yesterday, on the Police Re- greation Club's green, Mr. U."M. Omar defeated Mr. A. M. Holland (both mem- bers of the Hongkong Interport Bowls team) by -16.

The match was a very even one for a considerable time, the players being ten all and twelve all. Later, Mr. Omar led by 15-14, 16-13, 13-16; eventually winning by 20-16.

The date for the playing off of the re- maining semi-final, between Mr. W.- Russell and A Gourlay, has not yet been fixed, but the match will probably take place next week-end.

READINGS FOR SEPTEMBER.

An extract of the Meteorological Obser vations made at the Royal Observatory, during the month of September shows that the average mean temperature was 81.6 (compared 89:1, the previous month), the highest being 915 on the 9th, and the lowest 78.7 on the 22nd.
