The Hong Kong Police Force from the 3rd December 1847 inform that you will collect the letter which is the duplicate.
I have the honour to request that you will be so good as to inform me whether any mistake has occurred and will report the result.
The Governor states the date to be the 3rd of March 1848. If our records are wrong, we have not the means of correcting it, and a reference must be made to the Colony.
