TRANS-SIBERIAN RAILWAY.
GROWING IN POPULARITY.
Since the recent improvements in the Trans-Siberian railway service the de- Imand for accommodation has greatly increased, and there is no question that ere long it promises to regain the po- pularity it enjoyed before the war, says the China Erpress & Telegraph.
Many well-known Far Easterners press ed for time have lately travelled vid Siberis," and all speak well of the accommodation provided, the relative comfort of the trip, and its great advan- tage of speed. The other day a schoolboy of 18 years, whose parents, residing in China, wished to have their son with them during the vacation, which, of course, was only possible by travelling rid Siberia, left London alone on July 23rd, reaching his destination in China on August oth. According to the Rail way's London agents, the bookings from London for the months of September and October are heavier than they have been for years.
THE QUEEN'S THEATRE.
A DELIGHTFULLY-PLEASING PROGRAMME,
The programme which opened at the, Queen's Theatre yesterday is particularly attractive and pleasing.
"Wind Force is a German pro. duce Alm and of first-rate merit. The story is one enacted on land and sca and contains many exciting incidents. Although opening somewhat slowly, the action quickens, as does the interest as the pictire progresses. The perfect photography and several fine scenes all contribute towards the setting of 1. screen-story in which the interest never, wanes throughout. "
Other interesting pictures in the pro- gramine, which will be screened again today, are a wonderful Prizma colour film depicting some of the beautiful flower gardena, of Norway and an ex- cellent comedy entitled "Painless Pain," centring around a Dentist's Den."
At tho. 5.15 and 0.16 performances to-day there will be another rendering of The Meister Singer," which received much applause last evening, when played before a large and appreciative audience, To-morrow till Saturday Pola Negri appears in The Spanish Dancer," the first film she has made in America.
