A notice at the Harbour Ofce, received from the Customs Authorities at Tien- tsin, under "date"of August 21st, status that the conservancy ice-breaker' Ching- ing has reported that the Japanese steamer calum Maru lies sunk, with decks awash and masts standing, in a position from which Tanofeitis Light bears N. 83 W. (magnetic) about nine miles Mariners are warned accordingly.

The Superintendent of Customs and Treaty Power Consuls at Roochow have declared the port of Wenshow to be cholera infected. All vessels arriving from that port on and after August 29th' will be governed by the Sanitary Re gulations for the port of Focchow.

The total number of deck passengers entered for the twenty-four hours ended at Da.m. Yesterday was 140, of which the largest entries were 49 and 41.
