THE APPEAL TO THE PUBLIC.
The following appeal has been publish-
to the Second, and the leading team ined in the Home papers: the Second be promoted to the First.
The adoption of the annual report was moved by the Chairman, seconded by Mr. P. T. Lamble, and passed unani- mously. The accounts showed a balance of 8561.73
A SUGGESTION.
· The Chairman said that it had been suggested by some members of the League that some fixtures should be arranged "between à combined league team and individual clubs. That would give members of the League an opportunity of playing together instead of playing against each other all the time. He felt that they were not in a position to do it this year, but it might be considered for text your. In regard to the question of funds, he did not think that much ex- pense would be entailed, but they could be taken from the League fund.
The Chairman further suggested that a combined-league team should play the Hongkong C.C.
GAMES FIXED.
It was decided that a combined league team should play the Hongkong C.C. on January 29th.
The axture of the winners of the First Division against the Rest was fixed for alarch 26th og the H.K.C.C. ground. The same day on the Kowloon C.C. ground the winners of the Second Division are to play the Rest (Division II.)..
A discussion arose concerning the prac ticability of alitising the Happy Valley cricket grounds this year. Mr. Owen Hughes proposed and Comdr. Coomber seconded that the grounds be not exclud ed this year. This was tuopted.

the National Gallery, Few men have brought to tasks so various and so exact- ing such diverse qualifications, width and wealth of culture, tireless industry,, and grace and dignity of bearing and address, We think that services, so faithful and. 50 unique deserve to be permanently re- corded, not only as an act of gratitude on the part of bis contemporaries but as an enduring example to posterity.N
It is therefore proposed to ask the Dean of Westminster to grant space for a memorial plaque in the Abbey, and to obtain permission from the First Coun missioner of Works to erect a full-length statue near the house in Carlton House terrace which was for so long bis home." RELEGATION.
Mr. P. T.. Lamble proposed that at the end of the season that the bottom team in the First Division should be relegated to the Second, and the leading team in the Second be promoted to the First.
The Chairman said that it had been brought up by Mr. Sayer the previou year. On that occasion a certain number of difficulties were pointed out, one of which was the question of two teams from the same club being in the same division
Mr. Sayer said that he saw no objec- tion to that.
Commander Coomber seconded Mr. Lamble's proposition, and it was carried unanimously.
NEW OFFICIALS.
Mr. G. R. Sayer was elected Vice President, and Mr. A. A. Rumjahn Hoa Secretary and Hon. Treasurer.
It was decided to eliminate the ten interval during league matches.
