DETAILS OF THE ROBBERY. Entry appears to have been forced through a window on the mezzanine floor to which access must have been gained by the climbing of a drain-pipe from the well of Alexandra Building. The funeral took place at the Protes- tant Cemetery, Happy Valley, on Satur day afternoon, the Rev. G. H Hewitt, M.A. (Royal Naval Chaplain), efficiating. The coffin was raped with the Union Jack prior to being lowered into the gravë.

Access by the gang to the window in question could only have been obtained, however, by means of a long rope and. from the fact that such a rope was found in the neighbourhood, consisting of dressing gown girdles and pieces of cloth, it is presumed that the boy fashion ed the rope from the material available in the shop.

NO ADMITTANCE, FOR OTHERS.
A NEW REGULATION,
In the future no persons but Asiatics
will be permitted on the premises of certain Chinese restaurants situated in the Wanchai district, unless authorised to be there by the Captain-Superinten dent of Police.
This has been brought about by a re gulation made by the Governor in Council under Section 05 of the Liquors Consolidation Ordinance, 1911, Ordinance No. 9 of 1911.
The new regulation reads:The con- ditions of Chinese Restaurant LicenCES contained in Form No. 10 of the First Schedule to the Liquors Consolidation Ordinance, 1911, are hereby amended by From his afflicted wife: Mr. and Mrs.

Yard's Department; "the Apprentices"; the Agreement Employees' Association; the Superintending Electrical Engineers' Department.
One of the most-remarkable features of the robbery is that the burglars emptied a show case which contained a special display of silk goods, and to do this they must have worked with lights full on and they were thus in full view of Dea Veux Road Central. In place of the silk goods they removed from the showcase the thieves put back a fresh display of cotton shirts, etc., taken from other parts of the shop. It is estimated that to do all they did in the shop, taking into consideration the fact that they worked with leisure and thoroughness and were careful to leave no clue or finger prints behind which might lead to the discovery of their iden- tity, it is estimated the rabbery "must Laxe occupied them for some five or six toura. It seems surprising that lights being on in the premises did not attract the notice of someone who would then have been almost bound to have found that something was amiss and observed. R. In a store room at back of the premises was a packing ease, newly arrived, and they forced this open to ascertain the contents, leaving it untouched when they discovered there was no silk therein.
If the burglars had only continued their search of the packing case down Cher two layers beyond the cotton and linen goods, they would have discovered some very valuable silk goods, including shirts, which would have been well worth taking, but they apparently were satis fied that there was nothing of value there and so left off the search.

As stated pre- viously, the burglars/were exceedingly careful to remove all possible clues there might have been left by their entry, and not even finger prints were discovered.
