STEADY PROGRESS.
General Chiang Kai-shek has wired from Hunan directing his subordinates to deal in a firm manner with all "counter-revolutionaries" who are try ing to interfere with the peace and order at the rear of the Canton army while the Northern expedition is in progress. As a precautionary measure the Kuomin tang is stationing emergency troops, each under a special military commis sioner, at Canton, Swatow, Walchow, Kao-Lui, Shiu-Yeung-Lo, Nam-Shiu-Lia cular telegram inviting the Industrial the Nankow Pass, such as Hukutaus,

BISAFFECTION IN THE NAVY. Canton is ever full of intrigues and plota. The labour war between the "reds" and anti-reds" as represented by the Workers Delegates Conference and the Central Labour Union seems. to be "over for the moment. Now there is talk of disaffection among the members of the Canton Navy, and among the officers and men of the 2nd Kuomintang Army Corps, unit composed almost entirely of Hunanese.
