Fernandes and Villa Franea repeated their carlier success against 8. A. Rum- jam and E. Moosdeen, whom they de feated without difficulty. The Hong- kong pair put up rather a feeble struggle in the last set.

8. A. Rumjahn, doubles champion of the Colony, played an exhibition doubles match against Villa France and Fer- nandes, the best doubles pair of Macno. The match was an excellent one and the standard of play was judged to approach,, championship standard of Hongkong. The Macno pair showed up extremely well, and led at one time by 5-9 but, showing great reserve, the Rumjahrs drew level. Sparkling tennis followed and excitement ran high as the Porta-Barometer
