Confirmation of the transfer of the eight Shipping Board freighters com- prising the American Far East Line to Swayne and Hoyt, has been received in Manila by Messrs. L. Everett, Inc., who represent Struthers and Barry in Manila. The freighters are the West Chapaka, West Faralan, West Cajont, West Sequana, West Prospect, West Ivan, West Carmona and the Elkridge. The Feat Cajont, which is scheduled to leave San Francisco for Manila on August 9th, will be the last of the eight freigh tera to be operated by Struthers and Barry All-of-the ships reaching an Francisco after that late, will make their next trip under the operation of Swayne and Hoyt.
Struthers and Barry, however, will continue to run the four Shipping Board tankers. These tankers will be the only ships operated on the Pacific run by that Arm. They are the Menton, the Stock- tos, the Dilworth and the Salina.
