Two deaths under somewhat strange circumstances occurred in Shanghai within the past three days. OBITUARY..

MRS. J. FRASER.

It is with deep regret that we bare to recor the death of Mrs. J. Fraser (for fly Dr Glenys Turner, of the London Mission Hospital in Hongkong), wife of Mr. J. Fraser, who is in the Government Servico at Taipo. She died somewhat suddenly at the Kowloon Hos pital on Sunday.

The late Mr. Fraser was a native of Birmingham, and had studied at her home University, Aberystwyth, and "Giston She had been in Hongkong for seven years. She was a member of the Mid- wife's Board until recently and was also interested in the work of the Nethersole Hospital

She was an enthusiastic and adept tennis player, and played here in the Ladies' Tennis Tournaments last year.

Deceased was of a very happy dispoti- friends tion, and claimed numerous amongst both the foreign and Chinese community of the Colony.

The funeral takes place to-morrow evening, at Happy Valley Cemetery.
