the result is a debit balance of 89,103,790.09, "less $152.39 brought forward from last year, leaving a neft deficit of $9,086,864.80..
Consulting Committee.-Messrs. J. H Taggart and T. de Meester retired on leaving the Colony, and Mr. W. J Hawker was invited to join the Committee in place of Mr. J. H. Taggart.
In accordance with the Articles of Association the Very Reverend Father L Robert, Messrs.-H.-P. White, TG Weally Lee Hysan and W. J. Hawker retire, and are eligible for re-election.
Auditors.The accounts have been audited by Messrs. Linstead & Davis and Messra Percy Smith, Seth & Fleming who are eligible for re-election.
Notice has been lodged with the Com pany, by certain shareholders, that it is their intention to propose the election of Messrs. Lowe, Bingham & Matthews as auditore for the current year.

The report of the auditors-Messrs. Linstead & Davis and Messrs. Percy Smith, Seth & Fleming-states:
We beg to report to the shareholders that we have audited the foregoing bal ance sheet with the books, documents and vouchers of the Company.
We have obtained all the information and explanations, we have required.
We have not seen receipts for certain loans made by the Company, which loans We understand are at présent being in- vestigated.

We have not seen satisfactory, vouchers in respect of the sum of $112,946, under the beading-of-Lighterage No 2.Account, being cash payments described as work-
expenses, made during the strike. It appears to us that oping to the late allotment of certain shares, the dividend for the year 1924 was incorrectly paid involving a small loss to the Company.. Subject to the above remarks, in our opinion, the foregoing balance sheet properly drawn up as to exhibi ta trua and correct view of the state of the Com- pany's affairs according to the best of our information and explanations given to us, as shown by the books of the pany.
