In the most important maten of the day, the Chinese Recreation Club, play-at King's Park, by the narrow margin ing at home, proved to be too good for MB.K., their only rivals in the second division, and won the match comfortably by 33 games. Although the Japanese won two of the three sets in the first round, the Chinese secured the lead, thanks to an 8-3 by Choa and Lo, who are the mainstay of the side, by 18 games to 15. The home team played remarkably well in the second round and aggregated 25 games out of the 33, making victory absolutely safe for their side. They followed on well in the third round, winning all three sets;
