The week-end shipping statement show. ed a decrease over both Saturday and On Sunday on the freight carried, freight entered on Saturday morning there was a total decrease of 2,100 tons, compared with the figures for the pre- Vlous twenty-four hours. Hongkong cargo had gone down by 9,701 tons, but freight for ports beyond showed an in- erease of il tons. Yesterday's stalèment showed that there was's decrense on the previous twenty-four hours of 10,101 tons, and on Friday's figures af 21,201 tons: Hongkong cargo decreased by 936, tous and freight for other ports by 18,165
tous.
The number of vessel in harbour at 9 a.m. yesterday was 41, of which 2 were British.
The arrivals for the twenty- our hours entled at a.m. on Saturday numbered eleven, eit, four British, two French, one Swedish, one Japanese and three Chinese. The departures over the same period numbered twelve, ris, three American, shree Chinese, two Japanese, and three British. During the twenty- four hours ended at a.m. yesterday five vessels arrived, eit, one British, and Danish, one Japaure and two Chinese. The departures over the same period amberal eleven, e, seven British, three Chines and our French.
