A notice to mariners, issued by the Tientsin Customs Authorities, states that the Bar Light boat moored on the South line of the Taken Bar has been tempor arily withdrawn from her station and replaced by a native junk. The junk oxhibits the usual day mark and night light, but the Trade Signals will not be shown.
The RM.S. Empress of Canada left Yokohama on June 21st at 0 p.m., and is due at Hongkong on June 28th.

The Blue Funnel Line s.e. Eumaeus, which went ashore on ammatt spit near Tungsha Spit, Shanghai, on Saturday, June 19th, and afterwards refloated un- damaged ander own steam, met with n sceond mishap while going up the river to Holts Wharf the next morning. It appears that the maeus and a Chinese owned vessel named the Hwa Tai collided near the Customs Lower Station, the bows of the Fumaru being somewhat ex- tensively damaged and the Chinese vessel suffering more damage still.
