THE SWAN PEN VELLUM THE NEW PAPER FOR USE WITH FOUNT PENS.

SWAN PEN VELLUM is no ordinary paper under a new name; it is specially milled and surfaced to give a smoothness for writing without conscious effort, yet has that character of surface to avoid a slippery feeling. It takes the ink from the fold nib but does not have a trace of sponginess. It handles as a quality paper should, and folds without cracking. It has been tested and approved by Fountain Pen experts who are in close touch with the needs of the writing public.

YACHTING SEASON CONCLUDED. The yachting season of the Royal Hong kong Yacht Club was brought to an Loffcial conclusion on Saturday afternoon with the Closing Cruise and Ladies' Day Despite a cloudy and showery morning, the afternoon preved to be fine, and a very enjoyable programme of sport was witnessed by the large attendance of members and visitors. Among the visitor entertained by the flag officers and com- mitte pere officers from the American warships in port.

The programme included races in the cruiser class, three races for the ladies, a race for submarine collapsible bonts, and, on the rowing side, the great annual con- test for the Leveson Cup...

The Teeversa Race for ships' life boats was held on two occasions. At the 1st event there were many competitors, the race-being, won by a boat from the sa Hai Loong of the Douglas Lapraik Line, The second race brought forth mine com. petitors a boat from ss. Tisundari of J.CJL being the winner.
