[A.P.A]
THE HONGKONG WEEKLY PRESS, PUBLISHED TO-DAY, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE NEWS. OF THE MASSACRE OF THE CABINET OFFICE GUARDS AT PEKING, GIVES, THE KUOMIN- CHUN VERSION OF THE SHOOTING OF STUDENTS ON MARCH 18TH.
The Massacre of the guards was said to be in the nature of a reprisal. The details of these two occurrences, together, provide a striking commentary upon the ' state of disorder into which the Capital has fallen. In the South there have been signs that the Kuomintang are endeavouring to settle all internal dissensions. With peace inside the Party may come an opportunity of settling the boycott of foreign trade.
To enable friends at Home to follow the constant changes"
in the situation the WEEKLY should be posted to them regularly
In addition to the political news this week there are full reports of several Company meetings and of the Legislative Council meeting.
Old residents of the Colony will be particularly interested to learn of the attempts being made to transform the Repulse Bay beach into an up-to-date bathing resort.
