The shipping statement for yesterday showed very low entries of freight for Hongkong, only two British vessels enter. ing any cargo for this port; while again carried in the bulk of freight was Japanese steamers,-
The reports showed that at a.m. yesterday there were 63 vessels in the British. harbour, of which were Horan Maru, Japanese str. 2.347 tons, During the twenty-four hours ended st Capt. E. Oyama, from Swatow, with only seves, vessels arrived, viz, 1280 tons of coal and merchandise, two British, one French, one Portuguese and three Japanese, Over the same lying at 0.SK. Wharf.-O.S.K. Sai-Fang, British str., 1.384 tons. Capt. period twelve vessels departed, these P. R. Pursiow, from Shanghai and being for the following porta:-For Amoy, with a general cargo, lying at Mii, one British; for Foochow "one buoy No. 9.-B. & N.
