CAUSED OBSTRUCTION IN HARBOUR.

At the Marine Court yesterday, be fore Lieut.-Commander G. F. Hole, B., Capt. Jose Neves Catels, master of the 8. Wong Shek Kung, was charged with anchoring his steamship in the barbour in such a manner as to cause an obstrus tion to the fairways at 3.30 p.m, on April 14th.

Defendant pleaded not guilty. Mr. W. R Hillyer, boarding officer of the Harbour Office, said that the Foug Shek Kung was about three ships' length west of buoy No. B47 and was causing an obstruction to the free access of the fairways. He boarded the ship at 4.10 p.m. on the "dats in question and gave defendant a written order to shift at once to buoy No. B47 or to Stone cutters. Defendant stated that he had not enough men on board to make fast to the buoy. The following morning wit ness saw the ship making fast to B47.

Replying to the Bench, witness said that the ship was actually causing an obstruction to the ss. Few Mathside, whose captain he was going to call as a witness.

Capt. Edward Jonas Rapley, master of the 3.8. New Mathilde, said that be was taking his vessel from buoy Cse to Stonecutters. The ship was it ballast and the wind blowing strong from the East.

He proceeded through the South channel to the westward. When he got down towards the western end are bereby notified that the Carys will he saw the Wong Shek Kung anchored be discharged into Holt's Wharf, Kowloos, between B and Green Island.
