race for the Trevess." Trophy is down for decision, under the Causpices of the Royal Hongkong Yacht Club, this afternoon. The start is timed fos 1 o'clock.
1st round:-E. C. Fincher and E. Fincher : Yew Map Kit and W. Cheng- The Open Doubles match will probably attract most interest. The Fincher, bro thers should begin with confidence since they have won over Yew Man Taun.and Ho Ka Lau, who usually beat Yew Maa Kit and Cheng, in practice, but the latter pair can he depended upon to play their best to avenge the defeat of their, club antes by their opponents. The winners will meet H. D. and S. A. Bum. jahr.
The Opet Singles between E. Lo and Akiyama will also attract a great deni of attention. It will be remembered that both players obtained unexpected wins over their opponents in the previous round. H. Lo's win over, H. D. Rub- jahn in straight sets is, perhaps," one of the most surprising this season, while Akiyamd secured a five set win over the ex-champion S. E. Green. Akiyama no doubt will be backed to-day by the M.B.E. staff and other local Japanese.
