Yesterday shipping statement showed

that the number of vessels in harbour at 9.m. was 74, of which 34 were British.

The weekend reports showed that during the 24 hours ended at 9 1,1, on Sunday twelve vergels arrived, cit.-Avo British, oas Dutch, two German. three Japanese and one Portuguese. The vessels departing over the same period numbered eleveti, zit-ons French.. one Dutch, two Japanese, one Chinese and six British. These departures were for- Haiphong (one French), for Kwang Chow Wan (onu Dutch and one Chinese, ford Shanghai (three British 8.Lt onu Japanese). for Ningpo tone British), for Amuy (on British and one Japanese), for Singapore (one Britiah).

During the 24 hours ended at 0 a.m. yesterday, wight vessels arrived, vis- four British, three Japanese and one Chinese. The departures during the same period numbered five, viz.-tour British and one Gefruar. These departures were for-Manila (one British), for Kwang Chow Was (one British), for Shanghai (two British). for Whumpor (one German). There was only one clearance over this period, namely a Japanese steamer for Singapore.

Of the carga entered for Hongkong during the twenty-four hours rided at 9 an. yesterday, 3,450 tops were carriba, in British vessels, and 5,021 tons in vessels for nationalities.
