Of the cargo entered for Hongkong, 400 tons was brought by a British vessel on Saturday, 2,950 tons by British vessels on Sunday and 1,606 tons by a British vessel in yesterday's returns. The heaviest entries both for yesterday's and Sua day's periods were by British. vessels, namely 1,658 tona and 1,491 tons. Deck passengers entered totalled 79 for the period ended Saturday and 184 for the period ended on Sunday.

Owing to the termination of hostilities in this province, the Military Council has cancelled martial law in Humun (Bocca Tigris) since January 27th and mines in that region have all been raised."
After spending the week in Mirs Bay carrying out practices, HMS. Hawkins (flagship of the China Station) returned to the harbour on Friday afternoon.
The Hongkong and Whampoa Doci Company have received an order from Manila for the building of two motor lighters, the dimensions being 120 feet by 24 feet by 8 feet 6 inches, with a speed of eight knots loaded to 150 tons on" a five foot draft. The order was booked on February 9th and was awarded to the Kowloon Dock in open tender, but the figures have not been divulged.
